Family Announcement: "SANDERS, David Rex. 29 January 1954 - 29 April 2022. Died peacefully, mercifully and courageously after 9 years of illness. Much loved father of Theresa, Rebbecca, and father-in-law of Mark, Astra and Lane. Loved grandfather to his grandchildren. Loved brother of Barbara and brother-in-law of Brian. Loved friend of Cameron, Brian and Peter. The family would like to thank the specialists and nurses from Waihi, Thames and Hamilton, who over 9 years took care of David with so much kindness and respect. In accordance with his wishes David will be laid to rest alongside his late mother, father and brother in the Russell Public Cemetery."
