After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, Des slipped quietly into the presence of his Lord and Saviour. Loved husband of Raewyn for 60 years, beloved Daddio of Leigh, precious Pa of Paula and father-in-law of Paul. Brother to Jacky, Yvonne and Jill. Brother-in-law to Evan, Des, and Jancsi. Uncle, great-uncle and friend to many."

"The celebration of Des's life will be held at Church Unlimited, 3 Te Atatu Road, Glendene Thursday 23 June 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice West Auckland gratefully accepted at the Service."
