Family Announcement: "MITCHELL, John David. Born 19th February 1939, died 1st February 2022 at Mercy Hospice Auckland with his daughter Alison by his side. Cherished husband of Jan, dearly loved father of David and Alison and fun Grandad of Sam, Corinne, Buzz and Jake. His long battle with cancer, bravely fought, is over now and we have regretfully said farewell. You are gone too soon John. We are grateful for all the wonderful support John received in recent months."
