    Family Obituary Message: "On February 9, 2021, passed away peacefully in the care of Karadean Court Ultimate Care, Oxford, in his 96th year. Dearly loved husband of Liz, loved father and father-in-law of Mary and Cam Wiering, loved old grandad of Hamish, Joshua, and Nicolas, loved brother of Margaret, and the late Gwenda, and loved uncle David to all his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at both Karadean Court, and Cheviot Rest Home for their special care of David. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late David McGiffert, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch, 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Cheviot would be appreciated, and may be made at the service."
