Family Announcement: "MARETA, Ngapare Tangiia (Tai). Sunrise 2 May 1926 - Sunset 6 August 2022 Passed away peacefully at Totara Hospice, with family by his side, aged 76 years. Cherished partner of Isobel, beloved dad of Chantelle, Leigh, Claudine, Stacey, Justine and Mamia, son of Ngatama Mareta (Titikaveka) and Kaiariki Rongo Taia (Aitutaki), brother of Ruautu 'Atu', loved uncle of Joanne and Kaiariki, loved papa to his grandchildren and dearly loved by other 'brother' Ina Henry-Taripo and family. A service to celebrate Tai's life will be held at the Mangere Lawn Cemetery, 85 McKenzie Road, Mangere, on Tuesday 16th August at 11am."
