As Venus rose brightly in the early morning Eastern Waikato sky, 13th day of February 2022, Dad's soul peacefully departed with it. The gentle, caring, softly spoken sailor, astrologer, photographer, lover of forests, birds and the natural world, of science, coffee and jazz music, left on his final outing. Devoted husband of 68 years to Jane, loving father of Micha, Stephanie and Paul, cherished Opa and Great Opa to many. May you always rest in the peace and solace so richly deserved with the sound of the tui and Acker Bilk at your ears and fair skies and kind winds at your smile.
