Family Announcement: "The Lanting family are sad to announce that their beloved and treasured husband of Meryl, father of Heather, Sharon, Diane, Vivienne and Wayne, grandfather, great and great-great-grandfather, at the age of 93, has passed away peacefully (or as he would have said, 'kicked the bucket') at Waikato Hospital, after a short illness on September 12, 2021. He was the most wonderful, loving man to us all. So proud of the 5 generations in his family. 32 he'd tell everyone. 5 children, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great- grandchildren."

"Because family meant everything to him and he wanted us all to be together to celebrate his life and say farewell to him, and with COVID restrictions as they are, his funeral will be held on October 22, 2.00pm, at Zenders Cafe in Hamilton. Please RSVP to 027 929 9603."
