Family Announcement: "JENKINS, Joan Catherine (nee Friel). On May 7, 2022 suddenly but peacefully; aged 94 years. Treasured wife of the late Rol. Much loved mum and mother- in-law of Steve and Lee, Catherine (deceased), Dave and Lynne, Tim and Annette, Anne and Ivan. Loving Granny to Holly, Kit, Marnie and Evelyn. Joan's inquiring mind and joy for life will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Joan particularly wished to thank all the staff and especially the carers at the Home of Compassion Silverstream for their comfort and kindness. "Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph's Catholic Church, Corner Pine Avenue and Main Street, Upper Hutt on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00am followed by private cremation.
