Family Announcement: "6.10.1921 - 26.5.2021. 99 years. Athol passed peacefully at Linda Jones Care Centre on Wednesday 26 May 2021. Beloved husband of the late Aly. Much loved father and father-in-law of Don, Joy & Rob Gillard, Pat & Dave Armstrong. Loved and respected Poppa of 7 grandchildren and Great-Poppa of 16 great-grandchildren. Our sincere thanks to all the staff at the Care Centre of Linda Jones Retirement Home, Oncology Unit Waikato Hospital, Hospice, Vision West and Tui Medical Te Rapa for your concern, compassion, and expertise in your chosen professions. In preference to flowers, a donation to Hospice Waikato would be appreciated. All communications to the Hemming Family, c/- PO Box 4449, Hamilton 3247."
