Family Obituary Message: "With deep sadness and regret we would like to announce the peaceful passing of a much beloved mum. Ira Dewa (Irangani Dewasirinarayana) aged 89 years, on February 23, 2021. Rohan, Rajeeve and Romesh - Forever in our hearts, never forgotten, we love you to the moon and back. In lieu of flowers, donations to SPCA Southland would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service. Dear Rohan,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences at the passing away of your dear mother: I came across the news by accident right now while looking for whereabouts of some other Dewasirinarsyana on the internet.
You might vaguely remember me as your aunt Nanda Dewasirinarayana’s eldest son Shirley.
I was deeply saddened when I read the news. The last time I saw her was when you were living in Viskam Road in Galle. Your dad came to our place somewhere in 2001 or so when I was recovering from dengue fever in Kandy, and that was the last time I saw him.
It is quite late here right now, so too late to call and tell my parents, but I am sure they will be deeply saddened to hear of your dear mother’s demise.
Again please accept our condolences on behalf of my parents too. I am sure your mom had a good and happy life with three loving sons as I would imagine. May she attain whatever she wished for herself beyond her earthly existence!
