Family Announcement: "Passed away peacefully surrounded by whanau at her home on 30th December 2020, aged 84. Wife of the late Tommy Chung and her former husband Jim Ashby. Loving Mum of Marsh Ashby, Nana of Freeman. Reunited with her Mum and Dad Ana Maria and Kirihimete Tangirau Hotere. Together with her deceased siblings Erana, Raiha, Harema, Jack Hotere, Celia Waipouri, Maria Martin, Tiatoa, Tahi, Ralph, Moihi, Ellen Hobson and Suri. Will be missed by her sister Charlotte Courtenay, Moss Hotere and Gloria, Winiata Hotere and Bridget, Raukura,Aussie Whanau and her many nephews, nieces, friends and cousins. Rest in peace dear sister arohanui Te Whanau Aroha."
