How did HonourThem come about?

About HonourThem
Alison Harrison – Founder

After a personal experience of visiting a WW1 cemetery in France, we found the grave of great uncle and saw how well cemeteries were cared for and how each headstone was documented online.

Subsequently, we were digitising our family photos and most importantly, the photos of our mother who had passed away. Like many families, we went through the shoe boxes, the photo albums, historical scrapbooks and brought all our memories together.

At this stage, we progressed to how we could enable people all around the world to remember their Loved One’s with traditional and digital working together. We designed HonourThem as a central go-to specialist online memorial website. Our pathway is to offer multiple options for people to remember their departed online, especially when more formal events have ended.
